Wildfire shuts down some of Yellowstone's main road.
Cnn.com Sept. 28, 2009

A wildfire in Yellowstone National Park caused by lightining has shutdown some of the main road into Yellowstone. Park officals closed off a 20-mile section of the road. The park officals say that "The fire has approached a segment of the road near Arnica Creek and travel is unsafe,". Sprinklers have been running all night to protect the building and residences from the wildfire. On average 22 wildfires in Yellowstone a year are casued by lightining. From June through Mid-August over 2.5 million tourist visit the park. The firefighters are working to stop the wildfires from becoming anymore serious, Most of the fire is in Wyoming.

I liked this article becasue Yellowstone is a interesting place. The park officials also have said that the fire is reaches and unsafe place in the park. I also liked it becasue one lighting bolt has created a huge fire in one of our national parks.

Also it is amazing how they do not expect the fire to be under control until October which is a couple days away. They are letting the fire burn natrually in some places.
