Long-Distance Migration Shapes Butterfly Wings

In this experiment scientist study how long distance flights affect the development of wings of butterflies. The independent variable of this experiment is the area of which the butterflies live. The dependent variable is the shape and size of the wings. Scientist concluded that the population in the U.S. had the better wing shape for long distance flights. In my own opinion this is a good experiment to find out some the migration patterns for butterflies. This experiment can be improved by including even more types of butterflies. A good follow up for this experiment is to test to see if butterflies migrate to different places during the year.
