"Aging: Hospital Type May Play Role in Decision on Feeding Tubes"

The title of my experiment would be The Effect of Feeding Tubes on Dementia. Dementia is a disease that creates a loss of brain function that affects memory, thinking, behavior, etc. This disease is fatal. The independent variable of this experiment is the feeding tubes and the dependent variable is the length of time people with dementia live. The feeding tubes are rumored to aid people with dementia. Thousands of hospitals placed feeding tubes in dementia patients from 2000-2007 and studied the patients' behavior, memory, etc. After the study, it was concluded that dementia patients in hospitals in better quality tended to have improved their condition better that dementia patients in lower quality hospitals. I think this is a good experiment because it can help improve health in people with dementia. A good follow-up experiment could be to test this on people with a different disease. This experiment could be improved by seeing what other medical means could improve dementia conditions.
