rats and junk food

http://www.sciencenewsforkids.org/articles/20091028/Note3.asp

The article that I read was about an experiment that tested to see if junk food is addictive. The scientist observed that the more junk food the rats ate the more they wanted to eat, a behavior similar to drug addiction. The independent variable was the junk food and nutritional diet groups. The dependent variable was weather the rats were wanting to eat more. They concluded that eating junk food can be addictive. I believe this was a good experiment because it thoroughly tested the hypothesis, if rats are feed junk food they will crave more junk food then the rats on a nutritional diet.
