Brainy Bees Dykinga, Jack "Brainy bees know two from three" Science News for Kids

In this experiment, the independent variable was the pattern that the bees had to match. The dependent variable was whether or not the bee got their sugary snack. I think this experiment was pretty good but could use some more controlled variables. The scientists could have used, for example, boy and girl bees, maybe making the results different. This experiment was overall a good one. A good follow-up experiment would be to try to teach the bees higher numbers.
